I like the audio posting. It makes things different (in a good way). Almost makes it feel a little more personal.
I had no idea people were *that* anti-acting. You make good points, though. I’d hate to go up against you in that debate. I would, though, love for you to write/audio post more in depth about that sometime. I find it really interesting.
Listening to this, I couldn’t help but imagine what it would look like to have truly passionate Christian actors who were *good* at what they do bringing meaningful, powerful stories to light on film! I hope we get to see that soon. I think you make a good point with the vulnerability. There’s a real stiffness and I guess, polite interaction within Christian communities… we need more honesty and boldness and loving vulnerability in the Church. I think right now we’re too afraid to be imperfect or wrong or judged by each other… I’m just glad there are people who *aren’t* afraid to share what God lays on their hearts and what they’re struggling with and thinking about. I think there’s a growing longing in faith communities, though… people *want* to feel connected in that way. I think the more we get in tune with that, the more we’re going to see these emotive people.
Really good thoughts, Brennan. Thanks for sharing!
hmmm I’m not sure. I’m afraid the file is gone completely, not even in our archives. Interesting for sure…I’ll try and post it up again sometime, just try and recall the points that I hit on
